When we first began planning this event
we spent many months looking for the perfect home. All possible
venues were lacking in one way or another. So we decided since
we had the time why not build one. So on July 1, 2003 ground
was broken on the new "Hyatt
- Denver Convention Center." The hotel just held its Grand Opening! This
hotel is amazing. Almost every guest room
has a mountain view. The hotel has state of the art
facilities and much more. Our committee took a tour of the hotel. See photos of the tour and follow-up daytime photos of the hotel on the photo pages of this web site. The hotel offers sufficient guest rooms
and meeting space that the entire event will be contained
within a single building. Almost all of the convention events
will be on a single floor. There will never be any reason
to walk outside of the venue if you don't want to. However
since the hotel is located in downtown Denver we are sure
that you will venture outside at least once.

Parking: We have arranged a discounted rate of $16.50 per day. This is a 20% discount on the hotel's usual parking rate. Please request the discount rate at check in if you have a car to park and choose to use the hotel parking.
The Hotel is one block away from the 16th
street mall. The mall is a mile long pedestrian mall filled
with shops and restaurants. If you don't want to walk you
can take the free mall shuttle that travels up and down the
mall every 90 seconds. Other venues and attractions are near
by as well. Coor's field, home of the Colorado
Rockies Baseball team, Six
Flags Elitch Gardens, the Denver
Museum of Art, Colorado
History Museum, The State Capitol building just to mention a few..
All dancing, meetings, and general convention
functions will be on a single floor and you will have your choice of 12 elevators to get you to that floor. You won't have to wander
the halls of the hotel looking for something unless you want
to. You will not have a long walk to get anywhere at this
hotel.
The best part of the venue is that we have
locked the room rate to a phenomenal rate of $120.00 for a single or double and $140.00 for a triple or
quad. These are not going to change. |
